DDW Offshore owns five modern Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels with capability to operate and support clients on a world-wide basis. The vessels are specially designed to perform anchor-handling, towing, and supply services at offshore oil and gas fields.
In 2007, DDW Offshore was founded to own and operate a series of six anchor-handling (AHTS) to be built at Aker Yards’s shipyard in Vietnam (now Vard Vung Tau). The six vessels were delivered between 2010 and 2012 with one unit being sold to a third party upon delivery in 2010. In 2009, Akastor became 50% shareholder and owned the company together with DOF ASA. The company was in the period from 2009 to 2020 named DOF Deepwater AS.
Following DOF Deepwater debt restructuring discussions initiated with the Lenders in 2020, DOF Deepwater changed name to DDW Offshore and Akastor has taken full ownership of the shares in the company on October 12, 2020.
